FTC and Colorado Sue Major New Rochelle Landlord Greystar Over Hidden Rental Fees

Possible Class-Action Lawsuit over Junk Fees for current and former New Rochelle residents

DENVER, CO (January 18, 2025) — The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) alongside the State of Colorado has filed a lawsuit against Greystar Real Estate Partners, LLC, the largest apartment landlord in the U.S., which manages nearly 800,000 apartments nationwide. The lawsuit, lodged in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado under Civil Action No. 1:25-cv-165, accuses Greystar of deceptive pricing practices by failing to disclose mandatory fees to potential tenants, thus affecting their ability to make informed housing decisions.
