How Noam Bramson Was Hired as Sustainable Westchester Executive Director Part III
Part III in a 4-Part Series
Start at Part I.
DUBLIN, IRELAND (August 2, 2024) — At long last, we arrive at my favorite part of this 4-part series, the period from 2021 to 2023 where there was an overlap of the Criminal Investigation of Bramson by the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office and the Sustainable Westchester search for a new Executive Director. This is the first time I have published these two timelines juxtaposed against each other; when seen this way, seemingly disparate events may look related.
Over the past year, I have obtained tons of emails and documents and spreadsheets. As they tell the story, my work on this article started with the tedious process of sorting through the large and mostly random pile of thousands of emails, finding the right ones, then getting them in date and time order to create a narrative flow (you did not think this sort of research comes pre-made and ready to pop in the oven, right?). This work occurred over a 9-month period and to be honest, I loathed working on this story right until it came into focus. To make it easier to follow, the emails, documents, spreadsheets, images, and hyperlinks are grouped then the groups are separated by commentary.
As you read along, keep in mind that the folks at Sustainable Westchester never dreamed this content would see the light of day. I am certain they will be deeply dismayed. That said, they are not likely to make the same mistake twice, so this rare glimpse inside how this shady group of characters operates may be more rare than we know.
Let’s begin.
