New Rochelle has unveiled a bizarre list of flags to displayed at City Hall in 2025: the Palestinian flag (twice), Russia but not Ukraine, Taiwan and China, also, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Yemen with The Hawaiian Islands listed apart from the USA.

DUBLIN, IRELAND (February 8, 2025) — The New Rochelle City Council has done a complete reversal on foreign flags at City Hall.

Sure to raise eyebrows are plans to display the Palestinian flag as part of two separate Heritage Month celebrations. Also, Russia but not Ukraine, Taiwan and China, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Yemen. The Hawaiian Islands are listed separately from the United States, as is Puerto Rico.

It is like someone through a globe against a wall and started picking up the pieces to make these flag lists. It is what happens when feckless politicians try to please everyone and make an even bigger mess.
