DUBLIN, IRELAND (January 26, 2025) — My Mom passed away peacefully on Monday. I am sad but grateful I got out to Notre Dame to spend a lovely long weekend with her just a few weeks ago. She will be interred with my Dad at their vault at the Mausoleum at Cedar Grove Cemetery on the Notre Dame campus on February 22. Loli and I will be flying direct to Chicago, joined by our four children, then back to Dublin so no visit to New Rochelle this time around.

It was not a terribly productive week but I did create a database of my growing list of stonewalled FOIL requests which is Part XXIV in my Thimblerig Series. I broke a story that went worldwide, that Mariano and Clara are being sued for alleged sexual abuse at the home and a Florida church. In perhaps the least surprising story of the year, NRPD concluded their officers did not violate Policies or Procedures in the Jarrel Garris Shooting. All of this and more is linked below.
