SALZBURG, AUSTRIA (November 10, 2024) — I spent the weekend in Munich with Loli, where we went to the Giants play the Panthers at Allianz Arena in an NFL Deutschland match up. Munich was wonderful. We went to the Munich Opera to see Wagner’s Das Rheingold, the Glockenspiel Clock at Marienplatz and strolled about the old city. After the game, we took at train to Salzburg for a strong dose of the Sound of Music and Mozart. This is a lovely small City. We are staying in the old town, which is remarkable. The Christmas markets are just being set up now but do not open until next week.
As I had time on my travels, I sorted through the records I obtained under FOIL for the WE Rock Lincoln Park event. I managed to finish Part V of my Thimblerig series yesterday, part of a pair with Part IV on the Unity in the Community event which document the ways Lachonne Williams and Vivian Spady used Spady’s Big Viv not-for-profit to take tens of thousands of dollars in taxpayer money from Adam Salgado then not account for what they did with the money.
Part IV and Part V are linked below.
Sad to say, we lost a good man, my former neighbor, Andrew Mussolini. He appeared in one of the greatest and most effective political ads in the history of Westchester politics: “Westchester Can’t Afford Noam Bramson”. I cannot think of anyone who would enjoy Donald Trump’s re-election more. RIP, Andy.

Why Upgrade?
Free Accounts are no longer available to new subscribers. Those grandfathered in today who do not upgrade to a paid account by December 31, 2024, will be removed on that day. In the remaining few months, free subscribers will be limited to a weekly email newsletter with links to recommended articles on Talk of the Sound (free), links to articles elsewhere on the web (mostly free but some paywalled content) and the headlines of my Paid and Premium content with a teaser but not the actual articles.
Basic Accounts are just $5 a year with the first month free and include the weekly email newsletter described above, full non-Premium articles, commenting, and access to the archive of non-Premium content.
Premium Accounts are $7 a month or two-months free, with an annual subscription costing $70 instead of $84 — either with the first month free. Premium includes everything and is the best value: all articles in full, the newsletter, commenting, archives, bonus content and more.
I would encourage all Free Account subscribers to upgrade immediately to at least a Basic Account and certainly consider a Premium account, which is the gold standard and helps support my journalism.
