Sustainable Westchester 2024 Contract: Part VI
Part VI in a 10-Part Series
DUBLIN, IRELAND (October 24, 2024) — For months I have asked New Rochelle officials and councilmembers questions in the hope they might deliver on their supposed concern that they and Sustainable Westchester have not done enough to engage with the community and, in particular, how to opt-out.
Here is another email exchange, this one with Councilmember Matt Stern, about his confidence that the new Westchester Power contract would be “more favorable” for New Rochelle residents.
The conversation at the council table was about comparing Westchester Power to Con Edison but, as you will see, once the new, unfavorable contract was signed, Stern tried to spin his false claims by adding a qualifier he had not made on May 21, that the new contract was “favorable to residents in the Westchester Power program”.
Unfortunately for him, there is video.
